We collect only what is needed to publish, moderate, measure and operate sucks.world.
1. What we collect
When you submit a rant, we process its text, selected category, optional destination URL or handle, and the location you choose or that our location fallback identifies. You can choose a broader location. Do not submit personal or confidential information.
2. Technical and moderation data
Cloudflare may provide country, region, city, IP address, device, security and request data. We use this information for approximate location, rate limiting, abuse prevention, security, diagnostics and automated content screening. Reports and administrator actions are recorded for post-publication enforcement and audit.
3. Payments
For paid promotions, Dodo Payments acts as Merchant of Record and processes checkout, billing details, tax, fraud checks, receipts, refunds and disputes. sucks.world receives transaction identifiers, payment status, amount and the data needed to run automated safety checks and activate eligible promotions. We do not receive full card numbers.
4. Analytics and local storage
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic and feature usage. Google may process device, browser, approximate location and interaction data under its own privacy terms. The site also stores language and limited interface state in your browser. We do not use this data to sell behavioural advertising.
5. Retention
Public rants remain in the archive until hidden or deleted. Moderation, security and support records are retained only as long as reasonably needed. Dodo Payments retains payment and tax records as required by law and its policies; Google and Cloudflare apply their own retention settings.
6. Sharing and international processing
Cloudflare, Dodo Payments, Google and essential service providers may process data to operate the site. We do not sell personal information. Data may be processed outside your country with safeguards required by applicable law.
7. Your choices and requests
You can omit the optional URL, choose a broader location and use the site without an account. You may use browser controls to limit analytics. To request access, correction or deletion, contact us with enough information to identify the post or transaction. Legal rights vary by location.
